Pale yellow-brown upperparts, almost unstreaked below. Black median coverts forming a prominent row of spots, darker border to ear coverts and narrow dark malar stripe. |
Juvenile: |
Brown above with broad pale feather edges. Small brown spots on flanks and breast. |
Similar Species: |
Differs from other pipits by yellowish legs and pale face. |
