Similar Species: |
Differs from Lesser Grey Shrike by larger size, gray forehead, white wing patch extending onto secondaries, longer tail and bill, and shorter primary extension. |

Fast undulating flight. Often perches higher than other shrikes. |

Semidesert, mountain steppe, shrubby grassland, woodland edges. |
