Very small, highly active bird with dark lateral crown and eye stripes, and white supercilium. Male: orange central crown; female: yellow central crown. |

At all ages, differs from Common Goldcrest by dark eyestripe. |

Forages high in canopy. |

Woodlands; scrub on migration. |
