Description: |
Medium-width black tail band and narrow white tips on outertail feathers. Male: off-white above and below; black of face and throat joins black of wings. Female: brown-gray above. Orange tint on ear coverts, and pale edges on flight feathers; off-white underparts. |
Similar Species: |
Male differs from other male wheatears by pale back, and black of the throat joining black of wings. Female differs from other female wheatears by combination of tail pattern, orangish ear coverts, and off-white underparts. |
