Description: |
Brown above, white with dark streaks below, red flanks and underwing coverts. Bold white supercilium and mustache, variably tinted with pale brown-yellow. |
Similar Species: |
Differs from other thrushes by red flanks and pale supercilium. |
Behavior: |
Often occurs in flocks of other thrushes, especially Fieldfares. Feeds in or under low scrub or tree, and along the edges of fields. Migrates at night. |
Habitat: |
Open woodlands, orchards, scrub thickets. |

Invertebrates, seeds, berries. |
