Description: |
Brown-gray upperparts, off-white underparts, and dull pink-orange underwing coverts. |
Adult (Breeding): |
Male has black lower face and bib; female has white underparts with mottled throat and breast band, and variable dark streaks on flanks. |
Adult (Non-breeding): |
More pale edges to face and throat feathers. |
Similar Species: |
Differs from other thrushes by uniform brown-gray upperparts and unspotted belly. |
Behavior: |
Stays in cover of bushes and trees. Often occurs in flocks of other thrushes. |

Open juniper woodland, scrub, orchards. |
