Description: |
Large glossy black bird with long thick bill and long bluntly-pointed tail. |
Behavior: |
Often seen in small flocks, though breeds solitarily on cliff faces. Surprisingly agile flight; repeatedly pulls in wings, twists sideways, and drops through the air a short distance before opening wings again. Has far-carrying hoarse calls. |

Widespread in mountains. |

Invertebrates, small vertebrates, carrion. |

Large cup of sticks and occasionally wire, lined with wool and fabric on ledge on cliff, rarely on electrical pylon. |
